CAP Prize 2021 | How to Enter & FAQ

Complete this short process to register on our entry site. (TBA)
3. ENTER
Now you're ready, enter your work. Upload your series of images and your project statement by 7 February 2021.
FAQs
Who can enter?
The competition is open to everyone of all levels and of any age or descent.
How can I pay my entry fees?
The CAP Prize is completely FREE to enter.
What size and format should I upload my images?
Upload your images in jpeg format. Your images must be in sRGB format and 100% quality. The minimum size of your images should be 2,500 pixels on the longer side. Square images should be greater than 2,500 pixels on both sides. The file size of each image should not exceed 5 MB.
Am I expected to submit single images or series of images?
You are expected to submit coherent series of work. Single images are NOT permitted
How many images should I submit?
Projects eligible for the CAP Prize must contain between 10 and 25 images.
Are digital adjustments allowed?
Yes, all post processing techniques are allowed.
How do I adjust my files to not exceed 5MB each?
Each image you enter to the CAP Prize must not be smaller than 2500 px on the longer side and must not exceed 5MB. In case you need help, please follow these basic instructions.
Can I submit multiple entries?
Yes, you can enter as many projects as you like. :-)
Can I submit an entry I have submitted in previous editions of the CAP Prize?
Yes, you may apply with the same body of work as long as the date of completion is not before November 2017.
How do you define African Photography?
In the context of the CAP Prize African photography is photography created on the African continent and photography engaging with a diaspora of an African country dating back not more than two generations.
Is there any specific theme?
No, there is no theme. Photographs must have been taken in an African country or deal with a diaspora of an African country. The emphasis of the competition is on image sequences. Images must work together as a whole. We are NOT looking for single images. Eligible are submissions comprising between 10 and 25 images.
